Scarlet Ninjini Release Date

The Scarlet Ninjini release date, for now remains a mystery. It's so frustrating as I think she looks like such as awesome figure! Scarlet Ninjini is the last of the Giant figures to be released and one of the last variant figures to go on sale. Recently two of the rare Skyanders variants were released as store exclusives: Jade Flashwing, sold at Target and Molten Hot Dog, sold at Walmart. However, both of these figures are now available online on sites such as Amazon. The regular version of Ninjini has also just arrived in stores such as Toy's R Us and Gamestop. Whether Scarlet Ninjini will be a store exclusive or not I don't know. Once we have any additional information, on the Scarlet Ninjini release date, we will update this page.

The Scarlet Ninjini Figure

Scarlet Ninjini is basically the same figure as the regular toy, but painted a different color. As Scarlet Ninjini is a giant figures, it may be that she has a different lightcore color too.  All the Giants light up when placed on the portal of power, and this awesome feature doesn't even require batteries, it is powered by the portal itself.

Scarlet Ninjini wears a super cool red ninja outfit, and has a green complexion. Her hair is dark brown. There are very few photo's of an actual figure at present, and I have seen none of her actually on the portal. I am guessing that her eyes probably glows white, and her torso glows red.

Other Skylanders Variants

Whilst we are still waiting for the Scarlet Ninjini release date, and Polar Whirlwind's release too for that matter. Thankfully some of the rare variant figures have already been released!

Jade Flashwing

Only this week Jade Flashwing, a pretty awesome version on the gem Dragon Flashwing is on sale in Target stores. Already, however you can also find her on Amazon  and eBay. Jade Flashwing is a green version, with green crystal wings and gold scales.

Molten Hot Dog

A couple of weeks ago, Molten Hot Dog was released as a Walmart exclusive. Molten Hot Dog is a variant of the Fire Skylander Hot Dog. Hot Dog is a fiery canine, who is painted a red color. MOlten Hot Dog is a golden version of this figure. He does look pretty awesome.

If you find out any information on the Scarlet Ninjini release date please let us know! I hope you find this post interesting!

Polar Whirlwind Release Date

The Polar Whirlwind release date is hopefully very close. I have seen reports on the internet that Polar Whirlwind has actually been released in Norway. I cannot confirm this either way, but I have seen a single character pack of the figure on eBay. It seems like the last remaining figures are finally reaching the stores. Over the last few weeks we have seen the Giants Thumpback, Eye Brawl and now Ninjini released. We have also see the variant figures Jade Flashwing and Molten Hot Dog released as store exclusives (Jade Flashwing at Target, and Molten Hot Dog in Walmart). We don't know exactly how Polar Whirlwind will be released in the US. Another store exclusive perhaps? Apart from Polar Whirlwind there is only one other variant figure left to be released and this is Scarlet Ninjini. We will keep you updated on this information, and on the exact Polar Whirlwind release date.

The Polar Whirlwind Figure

Polar Whirlwind is actually the same as a Series 2 Whirlwind, but painted a different color. Regular Whirlwind is a mixture between a dragon and a unicorn, and is usually a pale blue color. She has a multicolored horn. Polar Whirwind is painted completely white apart from her eyes and unicorn horn. Very few pictures of this elusive figure have been seen so far, but she looks pretty awesome.

Once we have any more news on Polar Whirlwind, we will update this page. But here is a little more information on the other latest variant figures: Jade Flashwing and Molten Hot Dog.

Jade Flashwing

Finally out in Target stores this week, I was so excited to see Jade Flashwing. The regular Flashwing figure is pretty impressive. She is a Gem dragon, and the regular figure has purple crystal wings and turquoise scales. Jade Flashwing has, as you would expect, green crystal wings. The figure also has golden scales. Except for these differences in color, the two figures are identical. I are not sure how many Jade Flashwing figures have been produced, but if she has only been produced in limited numbers I would expect that she will become very collectable. We shall have to wait and see.

Skylanders Giants Jade Flashwing Target Exclusive

Molten Hot Dog

Molten Hot Dog was released a couple of weeks ago as a Walmart exclusive. However, he can now be find online at sites such as Amazon. Molten Hot dog is basically the same figure as the regular hot dolg, but painted a different color. The regular hot Dog figure is  a fiery red canine, with yellow paws. The Molten Hot Dog figure is a yellow color with red paws, so they are sort of opposites of each other. The only other real difference is the color of their eyes and collars. Molten Hot Dog is available in a single character pack. Again, I don't know how rare this figure is, depending on how many were actually produced, this figure could become quite collectable.

Skylanders Darklight Crypt Adventure Pack

Despite the fact that the Skylanders Darklight Crypt Adventure Pack was released, well over a year ago for the original Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure game, it continues to be very popular. Sales of the Adventure pack have continued, despite the release of the second Skylanders game, Skylanders Giants. People must still be really enjoying Spyro's Adventure, and the demand for the game add on's is still there.

For any of you who are not familiar. There are four Skylanders Adventure packs available for the original Skylanders game. They are not for the Skylanders Giants game, which features Battle packs, not adventure packs, but more on that another time! The four Adventure packs are Darklight Crypt, Pirate Seas, Empires of Ice and Dragon's Peak. Each of these unlocks a brand new area in the game, contains an exclusive Skylanders figure, and two other goodies!

The Skylanders Darklight Crypt Adventure Pack

Skylanders Darklight Crypt was one of the first packs released, and unlocks a ghostly area of Skylanders. The pack contains the Darklight Crypt itself, which looks like some sort of ghostly doorway, with two gothic wings. When this toy is placed on the Portal of Power, the player is immediately transported to the Darklight Crypt.

Also within the pack is the exclusive Skylander Ghost Roaster. Ghost Roaster is only found in the Darklight Crypt Pack, and belongs to the Undead group of Skylanders. He has a pretty frightning appearance, with a skull full of sharp teeth, he swings around a spiked ball, and certainly looks like he belongs to the land of the Undead.

Also included in the Adventure pack is the Time Twist Hourglass. When you put this toy on the Portal, it slows time for everything in the game, except the player, giving a huge benefit against enemies. This can only be used once per chapter.

The last part of the Skylanders Darklight Crypt Adventure Pack is the Healing Elixir. When you put this on the portal, it fives a 30 second burst of healing. However, like the Time Twist Hourglass, it can only be used once per chapter.

The Darklight Crypt Adventure

In this Adventure, you are transported to a new ghostly area of Skylanders. The main areas in this new area are Batterson's Pie Shop, Ghost Town, Occulous's Maze, The Necropolis and Wighthaunt. In the Darklight Crypt the player acts as Portal Master and has to solve the mystery as to why the Undead are running amok in the crypt. In order to complete this level the player must switch between the ghost world and the real world using special Spectral Shifting Platforms. This is a neat twist, as objects that are harmless in the real world, become a real nuisance in the ghost world. For example, normal trees become Stump Demons, Flowers turn into monsters and Haunted Knights that are harmless in the real world start attacking in the ghost world. Players have to move from one world to another to open gates, that are locked in one world, but open in the next.

Overall, the Skylanders Darklight Crypt Adventure pack is a lot of fun. My only criticism is that it could have been a little more challenging, or could have had different levels of difficulty. My, son an avid gamer, completed the new area in only a couple of hours. He did go back, and play different areas again, but I think he was a little disappointed.

Lightcore Pop Fizz Arriving Soon

It looks like we won't have to wait long now for Lightcore Pop Fizz. Lightcore versions of Pop Fizz and Hex have appeared on the GameStop website. At the moment they are still showing as out of stock, but I think it won't be long before they are on general release. Pop Fizz is one of my favorite Skylanders Characters and i think the Lightcore version will be awesome.

For any of you that don't already know, only eight regular Skylanders in the Giants game have lightcore technology, in addition all eight actual Giants do also. These special figure light up when you put them on the Portal of Power. This cool feature does not require any batteries and is powered by the portal itself. Activision apparently put a lot of time and effort into selecting just the right light colors to enhance each of the figures. Since Pop Fizz is such a colorful character anyway, with his exploding color potions I am hoping that his  lightcore effect will be pretty impressive.

The Lightcore Pop Fizz Figure

Lightcore Pop Fizz has a slightly different pose to the Pop Fizz Figure.  He looks as crazy as over, with his large yellow eyes and wide smile, but Lightcore pop Fizz holds two potion bottles, not one like the regular figure. It has not been confirmed, but I am guessing that one, if not both of his potion bottles will light up on the portal. It would be really cool if each glowed a different color but we shall have to wait and see!

Other Lightcore Skylanders

As I mentioned above, there are Lightcore versions of Pop Fizz and Hex. Pop Fizz is a Magic Element Skylander and Hex is an Undead figure. There are eight regularly sized Lightcore figures in all, one for each of the Skylanders elements. Here is the complete list:

Hex - Undead
 Pop Fizz - Magic
Chill - Water
Shroomboom - Life
Eruptor - Fire
Drobot - Tech
Jet Vac - Air
Prism break - Earth

We hope you enjoyed reading about Lightcore Pop Fizz!

Gold Chop Chop And Where To Find Him

Gold Chop Chop is probably one of the most valuable of all the Skylanders figures. But why is this? Well there are two main reasons. Firstly, Gold Chop Chop does look awesome! Secondly, only a very small about of these figures were actually ever produced.

Gold Figure from the original Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure game, of which Gold Chop Chop is one of them, were manufactured in very limited quantities. These rare gold Skylanders appeared in stores at random, on shelves alongside their regular versions. Because of the high demand for these special figures, any that did appear in stores were snapped up pretty quickly. Very soon, Gold Chop Chop began appearing on sites such as Amazon and eBay for huge amounts of money.

It is important to know that Gold figures behave exactly the same as the regular figures in the video game itself. They also have the same stats. People who collect gold figures should understand that they are paying money to own a rare figure, that is pretty cool to look at, and nothing more. Your Gold Chop Chop, will look exactly like ordinary Chop Chop, when you put it on the portal.

The Gold Chop Chop Figure

The Gold Chop Chop is exactly the same as the original Chop Chop from the first Skylanders game. This is called a Series 1 Chop Chop. The differently posed version, from Skylanders Giants is known as a Series 2 figure. Chop Chop is an Undead Skylander figure, who stands on a base decorated with a Skull, in the case of Gold Chop Chop, this is gold too.  The figure holds a large shield and sword, and wears a very unusual helmet. The gold color really enhances the character, and it does look awesome, however, I'm not sure i'd be willing to pay such a high price for the privilege of owning him! Since all Skylanders characters from the first game, play in the Giants game. Gold Chop Chop can be played in the Giants game.

Other Gold Skylanders

There are two other gold Skylanders from Spyro's Adventure, and these are Gold Flamelsinger and gold Drill Sergeant. Both these figures are pretty rare too, and go for high prices online. There is only one gold figure in the Skylanders Giants game available for sale, and this is a series 2 Flameslinger. Series 2 Gold Flameslinger is an Amazon exclusive, and available in much higher numbers than those from the original game. This means that this figure is much more reasonably priced than the others.

I hope you enjoyed my post on Gold Chop Chop. Of you did I would be grateful if you could like in on facebook, or add it to your Google+

Skylanders Ninjini Now On Sale

It's official Skylanders Ninjini is finally on sale in stores!! We have been waiting for months, and now, finally without any hype or ceremony Skylanders Ninjini is at last available. If you go to the Toy's R Us website, Ninjini is showing out of stock online, but on sale in stores. On the GameStop website, she is showing unavailable at present, but I imagine she will be in stock very soon.

We really can't wait to get hold of a Ninjini figure. It seems like a good month for the Giant figures, only a couple of weeks ago Thumpback and Eye Brawl arrived in store, and now Ninjini. No news yet however, on the exclusive variant of Ninjini, called Scarlet Ninijni.

The Skylanders Ninjni Figure

Ninjini is a cool looking figure. Unlike the large stocky Giants such as Crusher and Thumpback, Ninjini is a thin elegant figure. She has bright orange hair and a blue complexion. Ninjini wears a purple ninja outfit. She holds two dangerous looking swords in her hands. As Ninjini is a Giant figure, she also feature lightcore techology. Lightcore technology means that she lights up when placed on or near the Portal of Power. When you put Ninjini on the portal, her eyes should glow white and her lower torso should glow purple.

A Video of Ninjini

The Story of Skylanders Ninjini

Ninjini is supposed to be a magical ninja, who was trapped in a potion bottle by a jealous sorceress. Whilst imprisoned in bottle, Ninjini perfected her double sword skills. Eventually freed from her prison, Ninjini vowed to fight against evil and became a Skylander.

Scarlet Ninjini, The exclusive Variant

There is a special edition of Ninjini, that is yet to be released. This figure is known as Scarlet Ninjini. Scarlet Ninjini is essentially the same figure, as the regular Ninjini, but painted a different color. Scarlet Ninjini wears a Scarlet outfit, and has balck hair. She also has a green, rather that blue complexion. We have no news on when this figure will be released.

Jade Flashwing A Target Exclusive

Jade Flashwing is an awesome brand new Skylanders variant, that we have learned is a Target Exclusive. We have been waiting for Jade Flashwing ever since we caught our fist glimpses of the Variant figures. In the last few days, we have heard reports that she was close to release, and now finally she has appeared on the Target website. Although disappointingly she is showing out of Stock at the moment, the website indicates that she can be found in stores. Good luck to any of you who are lucky enough to spot her!

Jade Flashwing Figure

I have got to say the Jade Flashwing figure does look pretty awesome. Based on the original Flashwing figure, this Gem Dragon certainly looks great in green! The original Flashwing has wings made of violet crystals, and obviously Jade Flashwings are, well jade!  The other difference is that Flashwing has turquoise scales, where as Jade Flashwing has golden scales on her wings. I will certainly be keeping my eye out for her, when I visit Target next time. This elusive figure has now started appearing online at sites such as Amazon or eBay.
